Eligibility Criteria for KCET 2020
A student must be aware of KCET Eligibility criteria before applying for the exam. It will give you an idea of whether you are eligible or not eligible for the exam. You can check KCET 2020 Eligibility Criteria in the following points.
- Nationality – Aspirants must be a citizen of India.
- Appearing Students – Such candidates are eligible to apply for the exam. But their admission will be canceled if they will not pass the qualifying examination.
It varies from courses to courses. You can check academic qualification for all the courses of KCET 2020 in the following points.
- For Engineering – Passed 12th/2nd PUC with English as one of the language subjects and obtaining 45% aggregate marks in Physics & Mathematics along with Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/Electronics/Computer (40% for reserved category candidates).
- For Medical – Passed 12th/2nd PUC with English as one of the language subjects and obtaining 50% aggregate marks in PCB (40% for reserved category candidates).
- B. Arch – Passed 12th/2nd PUC with Mathematics as one of the compulsory optional subjects and obtaining 50% aggregate marks in all subjects (45% for reserved category candidates)
- For B.Pharma – Passed in 2nd PUC/12th with PCB or PCM and obtained a minimum of 45% of marks in aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, Biology subjects (40% for reserved category candidates) or Passed in Diploma in Pharmacy from an institution approved by PCI and secured minimum of 45% marks (40% for category candidates).
- For B.V.Sc and A.H – Passed 12th/2nd PUC with obtaining 50% aggregate marks in PCB & English (40% for reserved category candidates)
KCET 2020 Application Form
Karnataka Examination Authority will release the application form for KCET exam in online mode. You can apply for the KCET 2020 just after the release of notification at the official website – cetonline.karnataka.gov.in. Candidates are requested to fill each detail correct in the online form of KCET 2020. Applicants will have to provide basic details like Name, Fathers Name, Mothers Name, Active Mobile Number, Valid email id, etc. We will provide here a direct link to apply for KCET EXAM. Candidates must keep in mind that all the details provided in the KCET 2020 Application Form are as per the certificates. If you provide any kind of wrong information in the application form of KCET 2020 then your application may get canceled.
KCET Admit Card 2020
The conducting Authorities will release KCET 2020 Admit Card in April 2020. It is the most important identity proof of the candidate. No candidates will be allowed to appear in the examination without KCET 2020 Hall Ticket. KEA will release admit card at the official website. You will require application number and password to download your Admit Card for KCET 2020 Examination. Hall Ticket will be issued only to those aspirants who successfully apply for the exam. After downloading the admit card, the candidate must check all the details provided on it. KCET 2020 Syllabus
The Syllabus of KCET 2020 will be comprised of several topics from Physics, Chemistry, Biology/ Mathematics subjects. It is a state-level examination, which will be organized for providing admissions in various engineering, pharmacy and other courses offered by different colleges in Karnataka state. For admission in medical & dental course, candidates will have to appear in NEET exam. Karnataka Common Entrance Test will be organized for providing admission into the Engineering (B.Tech) & other professional courses in the state of Karnataka. KCET Exam Pattern
Aspirants who are going to appear in the examination should know Exam Pattern of KCET 2020. It will guide you in the preparation and also gives an idea of the difficulty level of the exam. You can check KCET 2020 Exam Pattern and marking scheme in the following points and table.
- Mode of exam: The exam will be held through offline (OMR) mode.
- Duration of exam: For each paper/subject, 80 minutes will be given.
- Maximum marks: Each paper will be of 60 marks, i.e., the total will be of 180 marks.
- Type of questions: Multiple choice questions will be asked in the exam.
- Marking scheme: Each question will carry 1 mark.
- Negative marking: There will no negative marking for incorrect or unanswered question.
KCET 2020 Cut Off
Karnataka Examination Authority will announce the KCET 2020 Cut off just a few days after the examination. The Cut off describes the minimum marks required to successfully clear an examination. The candidates must obtain the minimum marks mentioned in the Cut off List. If the candidate fails to obtain the minimum marks mentioned in the Cut off they will not be able to appear for the further counseling process.
KCET 2020 Result
The conducting Authorities will declare the KCET Results in the 3rd week of May 2020. It will be released in online mode on its official website. Aspirants can check their result along with the final answer key. You will require a registration number and password to check the result. It will carry the score obtained in each subject and the overall score obtained by the candidate. Take a printout of the result for future use.
KCET Counselling Process
Aspirants will be allotted college in the counseling process of KCET 2020 based on their performance in the entrance examination. First, you will have to participate in the online procedure and then report at the various reporting centers for document verification. After the document verification, students will get the verification slip after which they have to enter the choice of college and courses.
