The National Institute of Design is one of the prestigious and reputed institutes in the field of design. The candidates will be selected in the institute by their performance in the NID 2020 Design Aptitude Test. There are total 3 institutes of NID situated in Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar and Bengaluru. It is national level entrance exam which offered admission in Bachelor of Design (Bdes), Graduate Diploma Programme in Design (GDPD) as well as Master of Design (MDes) programs. The conducting authorities will release NID 2020 notification the month of October 2019. NID 2020 will be organised in two phases named prelims and mains test. NID Application Process 2020

The notification for the application process of NID 2020 will be released in the month of October and the last date to register for the test is till 2nd week of November 2019. Eligibility criteria for NID 2020 exam

The eligibility criteria will be different for the UG and PG courses of NID. Every aspirant must know the eligibility criteria for NID 2020 before filling the application form.

For UG courses

  • The maximum age of the candidates must be less than 20 years. There is a relaxation in the age for the reserved category candidates.
  • The candidates must have passed 12th standard examination from any recognized university or board.

For PG Courses

  • The maximum age limit of the aspirants must not be above 30 years and relaxation in the age for reserve category applicants.
  • The aspirants must have passed bachelor’s degree in any branch from a recognised university or college.

NID 2020 Exam Pattern

The student who will appear in the NID 2020 test must know the exam pattern and marking scheme for their better preparation. It will give them an idea of the question paper.

Exam pattern for DAT prelims

  • Language of the exam: English
  • Total marks: The exam will consist of 100 marks
  • Duration of the NID 2020 test – 3 hrs
  • Marking scheme – No negative marking
  • Questions type – Both objective and subjective type

Exam pattern for Designing Aptitude test (DAT) mains

  • Total marks – 100
  • Duration – 3hrs
  • Finally, the interview will be organized for selected candidates on the basis of marks secured in both pre and mains test.

Syllabus for NID 2020 aspirant

This is the right time for all the aspirant to start their preparation. For better preparation first they should know the syllabus of NID 2020. NID 2020 Admit Card

The admit card will be availabe in online mode only. The conducting authorities will not sent admit card via post or any. It will be released in the 2nd week of December 2019 for prelims. You can download it from their official website. Student must have admit card to take entry in the examination hall. You can download it by following steps mwntioned below.

  • First, go to the official website.
  • Go to the admit card link.
  • Enter login credential there provided by board at the time of registration.
  • Your admit card will appear on your screen.
  • Download it and take printout for further process.

NID Exam Result and Merit List of 2020

NID pre result will be declared in the month of February 2020. Only those candidate will appear in the NID mains who successfully qulified pre-exam. The result for the NID mains 2020 will be released in the month of May 2020. After the declaration of the result, final merit list will be prepared based on weightage scores obtained in every stage (pre and mains). In prelims, weightage of 30 percent is given and 70 percent weightage are given to mains.

Required Documents For NID 2020 Counselling

The counselling process will start from 4th week of June 2020. You will require the following list of documents at the counselling centre.

  • 10th class certificate
  • 12th class mark sheet
  • Bachelor’s degree for M.desh candidates
  • Transfer certificate
  • Category certificate
  • Passport size photograph
  • Photocopies of relevant pages of the passport (for overseas aspirants)
  • Certificate from AIU, national capital (for overseas candidates)
